Building up – Running programs to Lose Weight

If you’ve made a promise to yourself, in front of a full-length mirror, that you’re going to start doing something to get rid of the paunch around your mid-section; think first before flying out the front door and running around a local park. The first thing you must do is NOT abjure, to friends and family that you are giving up the vices in life and are going to start exercising. The reason for keeping your quest a secret is because, if you do give up after a few days, your friends and family members are going make your life miserable for a few weeks. The next step is to find out how to lose body fat. The best bet is to head to local gym and ask a professional – a word of warning; you probably won’t be happy with what you hear. The third step is to get a physical and ask the doctor if your heart could stand a cardio workout. Once the doctor has given you the green light, purchase some high quality running shoes; the last thing you want to do is screw up your knees from running in shoes that don’t cushion your feet. Now that you have the gear and the determination, it is time for a cardio workout; knowing how to lose body fat will have to shed pounds within a few weeks.

It is important at the beginning of your running activities to not overdo it. Spend a few minutes stretching and getting your breathing right. Plan the course and make sure, for this first time, it is not too far – no one wants to have to drive the family car to pick you up. When you set out initially, take it easy, let your feet get used to the repetitive movement of your legs. Your heart will also be adjusting to the cardio workout; therefore, take your time. As you run mentally go over the information you read about how to lose body fat – it’ll give you something to do. Jogging is an easy exercise and doesn’t require speed or endurance. When you’ve run for around 30 minutes, call it a day. There is always tomorrow.
